10 students from Radom primary and junior high schools were awarded in the 3rd edition of the competition organized annually on the Water Day on 22nd March as part of the LIFE14CCA / PL / 000101 project – ‘Adaptation to climate change through sustainable water management in the urban space of Radom’, co-financed by the LIFE Programme and National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Warsaw.

The aim of the competition was to present the creative look of the young generation on the issue of the existence and significance of water in the city. Moreover, an important issue for the organizer was to acquaint the Radom youth with the implemented project aimed at counteracting flood risks and drought in the city resulting from climate change.

 

The award ceremony took place at the City Hall in Radom on June 4, 2018. The awards were handed by the Deputy President of the City of Radom - Mr. Jerzy Zawodnik.

 

63 artistic works were submitted, 10 of which were awarded and 10 were honorable mentioned. There were also two teachers who were the best to prepare their pupils for the competition.
The students were awarded with cameras, year-long passes for the swimming pool and a beautiful edition of the Photo Album about Radom. The students honorable mentioned received swimming pool passes and project gadgets, whereas the teachers received season tickets to the Powszechny Theater in Radom.
